My View on ‘Settling Down’…

Settling down, to me, is a divine alignment. It’s about having your heart and priorities in order, rooted in God’s truth, knowing what virtues matter most, and being able to love another as Christ commands: selflessly, wholly, and with intention.

It is not age, status, or worldly wealth that makes one ready, but the refining fire of life’s trials, those sacred experiences that draw us closer to who we truly are and who God is calling us to be.

I may not yet be thirty, but the journey I’ve walked has been laced with purpose. Each step, painful or peaceful, has shaped my discernment and deepened my spiritual understanding.

I’m not seeking surface-level attraction or poetic promises. I’m seeking fruit. The kind that can only grow through a yielded life—faithfulness, humility, wisdom, and peace.

Love, in its truest form, must be observed, not just felt, you don’t fall into love blindly. You observe. You discern. You watch how a person walks with God, how they treat others, how they carry responsibility. And from that place of observation and prayerful discernment, you begin to know… Is this the one God has appointed for me?
